About
What is KYDS North San Diego?
KYDS stands for Kiwanis Youth Development and Support. KYDS clubs are a new style of Kiwanis club dedicated solely to supporting our Service Leadership Programs (SLP). We focus on helping to provide region-wide community service opportunities and coordinate events and leadership training for our local youth through Kiwanis branded programs. Our club has only one meeting a month and all service projects are youth-oriented.
Our Mission
Chartered in the Fall of 2013, KYDS North San Diego serves the North County area of San Diego, California. Our mission is to support the Service Leadership Programs (SLP) in Division 37 Kiwanis, to help foster servant leaders, assist our local communities by providing region-wide community service opportunities, the coordination of events, and to provide leadership training to our local youth and fellow Kiwanians while upholding the objects of Kiwanis International.
What is Kiwanis International?
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers, dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. In both our local and global projects, service leadership is at the very heart of what we do. Through our Service Leadership Programs, we empower youth of all ages to positively impact their communities. Kiwanis clubs provide mentoring, financial support, and leadership training to local young people, and in doing so, pass on a legacy of service and leadership. Learn More >
